Team Woodys
Team Woody’s of  Topsham, Maine received their trophy and a $500.00 check by setting the 1000 foot Sebago course record with a top speed of 147.44 MPH on their modified Yamaha driven by Keith “Woody” Wood.  Team Woody’s also delivered the second fastest speed of the day at 145.44 MPH and holds the current State 1000 foot record at 152.30 MPH.

This year’s event featured 3 Teams that surpassed 140 MPH.  Bob Bower of West Gardiner turned in a very respectable 143.26 MPH and Jeff Trask of Augusta broke the 140 mark twice with a high of 140.75 MPH.  Team Woody’s arrived with hopes to set the new State Record (which would have doubled the purse) but snapped a belt shattering the clutch on their 4th run and decided to call it a day.
