Maine Chevrolet Derby Statewide Rules

  • Tournament to be held March 6-7, 2010
  • Entry fees are $20 individual /$30 Family (Adult couple & children under 18)
  • Weigh stations to be open 7am to 5pm
  • Derby ends at 5PM sharp on Sunday. If you are in line at 5PM you will be weighed.
  • Registrations close at noon Saturday, March 6, 2010.

REMINDER: This is daylight savings weekend

 

PRIZES TO BE AWARDED AS FOLLOWS:

(One) 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4×4 Truck
To be drawn from combined entries of both the Sebago Lake Derby
Held in February and the Statewide Derby.
NO FISH NEEDED TO WIN

Winners will be ranked by weight. First tiebreaker will be longest length.
Second tiebreaker will be earliest time weighed.

 

 * Change from last year Pickerel limit to 5.

Each fish weighed gets an entry into a drawing for prizes including a Can-Am ATV and 70 Gift Certificates.

 

 WEIGH THOSE FISH, YOU CAN WIN A BIG PRIZE WITH A LITTLE FISH!

  • When fish are weighed they are to be free of ice and snow. Any visible tackle or visible bait is to be removed.
  • Any fish submitted may be held by Derby official or the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife for examination.
  • All fish weighed will be clipped to avoid reentry. If you plan to mount your fish, please mention this to the attendant.
  • All prize winners are subject to Derby regulation review, and may be subject to interviews and polygraph examination. Any attempt to defraud the Derby and/or its entrants will be prosecuted. All Maine fishing regulations apply.

All Maine Fishing Rules Shall Apply

  • Each individual angler may weigh up to 6 Togue per day.
  • All fish are to be weighed at a Tournament sanctioned site. Biologists and Rotarians will be staffing these sites.
  • When weighed, the fish shall be free of ice and snow. Any visible hooks, tackle and bait are to be removed. Tournament officials reserve the right to hold or open any fish.
  • All fish will be marked to prevent duplicate weigh-ins. Anglers should notify staff at the weigh-in stations of any possible intent to have fish mounted.
  • All money winners must sign and affidvit asserting that the winning fish was legally caught in Sebago Lake by the entrant during the tournament. Winners may be subject to a polygraph test. ANY ATTEMPT AT FELONY FRAUD WILL BE PROSECUTED.
  • Every weighed fish shall be entered into the “Fish Pool” prize drawings.
  • All weigh stations close at 5 PM SHARP on Sunday.
  • If you are in line at 5 PM you will be weighed.
